“THERE ARE NO SMALL ACTS OF PHILANTHROPY SO LONG AS YOU ARE DOING
SOMETHING THAT MATTERS TO YOU, AND WORKING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE”
–Stephen Delaney, Chair of Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie, on receiving the Arnold Edinborough Award from
Business for the Arts for championing a better society through arts engagement, philanthropy and volunteerism.
–Tina, student at the Citadel youth dance program
After receiving a generous gift from the Delaney Family Foundation in 2012, the Citadel’s studio-theatre was named
in honour of Mimi Herrndorf, a mother who instilled in her children the importance of giving generously to the arts.

In keeping with the spirit of this initiative, we named our downstairs studio after another remarkable mother,
Jean Soper, who instilled in her children the importance of caring for the welfare of others by volunteering.

By naming our studios after Mimi and Jean, we are honouring mothers everywhere. Mothers who
balance strength and resilience with generosity and service, demonstrating the power of making a difference in people’s lives
