Brahms’ gorgeous Intermezzi for solo piano, characterized by introspection and emotional depth, include some of his final compositions. In this concert, contemporary Canadian dance legend James Kudelka explores a collection of Brahms’ Intermezzi played live by Andrew Burashko on piano.

Kudelka’s Love, Sex & Brahms is a work of contemporary choreography set in an antique world with performances that evoke intimate conversations between lovers. Revolving around an enigmatic puppet, the dancers’ attractions to each other bind, discourage, and ultimately transform them.
