Space + Equipment Rentals

Apr. 27, 2022. Citadel + Compagnie will be taking a cautious approach throughout the remainder of the 2021/22 season as the Government of Ontario eases public health restrictions, and the province makes its way through the sixth wave. Throughout this transition all patrons will continue to be required to provide proof of vaccination and wear an appropriate face covering. The health and safety of our staff, performers and patrons is our highest priority.

For more information about returning to The Citadel check out our Audience FAQ.

As of September 22, 2021, Citadel + Compagnie has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all persons entering The Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance. Going forward, and until further notice, patrons, artists, renters, and class participants attending any activities at The Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance will be required to provide proof of vaccination.

C+C thanks its dedicated patrons for their continued support and patience as we work to keep our community safe.

Please note, with a multitude of postponed projects to reschedule, availability for outside bookings will be very limited throughout the 2021-2022 season. All users must agree to follow the guidelines in the links on this page when visiting The Citadel.

The Citadel has an accessible washroom located in the lobby at street level. Both Studio A and Studio B are accessible by a two person elevator located at the lobby level. Community members using mobility devices can use the elevator to access these spaces, however, it requires a staff member’s assistance to operate. We regret this obstacle to greater accessibility. The Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance is located near accessible transit stops at Parliament Street at Dundas Street East.

Capacity Limits

The Citadel is currently operating at reduced audience capacity in order to create a more comfortable experience for all patrons in our intimate space.

Face Coverings

All visitors, patrons and staff are required to wear masks when inside the building. Given the high transmissibility of the current Omicron variant dancers are strongly encouraged to wear masks while rehearsing and to respect the wishes of colleagues if rehearsing in masks is preferred.

All other visitors not physically engaged in the rehearsal and/or performance (choreographer, designer, outside eye, etc.) are also required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be worn at all times when in the washrooms and in the lobby.

The studio, theatre, washrooms, green room and lobby are cleaned thoroughly each morning (including all high-touch surfaces and studio floors). Spray bottles with alcohol and paper towels are available in both the studio and the theatre for renters to sanitize high touch surfaces at the start and end of their time (optional).

Food and Drink

Only bottled water and beverages are permitted in the studios. Meals and snacks are to be consumed in the lobby or the dressing room while seated. There is no food allowed in the studios.
