The Citadel Dance Program (CDP), established in 2012, provides weekend dance classes for children and youth. Our mandate is accessibility, inclusiveness and excellence. We welcome young people with extensive, as well as no background in dance, and ensure that their experience and training takes them to new levels of dance education, while exploring their creativity.

May 31, 2022: CDP classes have ended and will return in the Fall of 2022. Exact dates are to be confirmed soon. Stay connected via our social media and newsletter to keep in the know.

Happy summer!

Registration is now open. To register, please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled class time. A Citadel + Compagnie staff member will be ready to support you with all your registration needs.

A one-time registration fee of $25 is required.

Full scholarships are available for residents of Regent Park as well as those in financial need.

Last year we took our Citadel Dance Program online, offering pre-recorded ballet and tap classes by inspiring instructors Portia Wade (ballet) and Dianne Montgomery (tap).

In addition we offered FREE video workshops by some of The Citadel’s resident artists and CDP instructors including:

  • The Relation Game with Heidi Strauss (Artistic Director of adelheid)
  • “What’s in my dance bag?” & “Putting on pointe shoes” with Jordana Daumec (First soloist with The National Ballet of Canada)
  • Intro to Bharatanatyam with Sukruti Tirupattur (dancer with Nova Dance)

These workshops are still available! Check them out below!
